Abdullah Eren

Abdullah Eren was born in 1984 in Istanbul. He earned his bachelor's degree in Sociology from Boğaziçi University and completed his master's degree in Diplomacy Studies at the University of Westminster, London.

Having held various senior positions in the private sector, Abdullah Eren later served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister and as an Advisor to the Prime Minister, before assuming the role of Chief Advisor to the President.

He was appointed as the President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) by the Presidential Decree dated October 27, 2018.

During his tenure at YTB, he led initiatives targeting the Turkish citizen diaspora abroad, numbering around 7 million, as well as related and kin communities spread across the Balkans, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Middle East, and North Africa, including groups with Ottoman heritage. He also oversaw programs for international students from around the world studying in Turkey.

Actively engaged in civil society, Eren has taken on significant roles in NGOs focusing on the Balkans.

Abdullah Eren was reappointed as President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities by the Presidential Decree dated August 11, 2023. He is fluent in English, married, and a father of two.
