Hakan Ünay

Hakan Ünay is a PhD student at Kırıkkale University, Department of International Relations. He completed his bachelor's degree at Selçuk University and his master's degree in International Relations at Necmettin Erbakan University. He worked as a researcher at the Migration Research Foundation between June 2019 and March 2024. Currently, he is a researcher at the Swedish Research Institute within the Horizon project titled "Decentring the Study of Migrant Returns and Readmission Policies in Europe and Beyond (GAPs)". His main research interests are border management, border walls and state migration and border policies.
