Hülya Özkan Rigiderakhshan.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özkan is a faculty member at the Faculty of Communication, Social Sciences University of Ankara. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication from Marmara University, and his PhD in Middle Eastern Sociology and Anthropology from the same university. His research interests include media and social movements in the Middle East, the press in Iran and Afghanistan, as well as Iranian cinema and its social dynamics. Since 2023, he has been conducting his post-doctoral studies at Liverpool John Moores University.
