Ifat Gazia is a Kashmiri Muslim scholar currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Communication at UMass Amherst. Her areas of study are Kashmir, Palestine, and East Turkestan and her work broadly looks at the intersection of technology and social justice. Ifat reported from Kashmir for many years as a journalist on issues of social justice and human rights. She holds an MA in Media and Development from SOAS, University of London with a core concentration on the use of Information Communication Technologies. She currently hosts and produces The Kashmir Podcast.
