Meysam Yazdi, graduated from the Art University of Isfahan with a degree in Art Theory and Research, has dedicated his professional career to examining art events, policies, festivals, and biennials in Iran and the broader Middle East region since 2015. His work employs a Critical Discourse Analysis perspective, allowing him to delve deeply into the underlying narratives and power dynamics within the art world.
Yazdi's research spans the multifaceted ecosystem of contemporary art, with a particular focus on Middle Eastern trends. His studies cover a wide range of topics, including the evolution of performance art and its various manifestations. By exploring these areas, Yazdi seeks to illuminate the unique characteristics and developments within the region's contemporary art scene, contributing to a richer understanding of its global context. His ongoing work aims to foster a more nuanced appreciation of the complex interplay between art, culture, and politics in the Middle East.
