Dr. Sahar Hammoud is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the UCD Centre for Research, Education and Innovation in Health Systems (UCD IRIS), School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems, University College Dublin. She is an early career researcher and academic with experience of multidisciplinary projects in health research. Her research interests include patient safety and quality improvement, focusing on factors influencing patient safety. Dr. Hammoud is also engaged in infection prevention and control research, particularly patient engagement in infection prevention and control. Over the past four years, Dr. Hammoud has published eighteen research articles in esteemed international peer-reviewed journals. Currently she is an Editorial board member of PLOS ONE and Frontiers in Public Health journals, further contributing to the advancement of health research. Dr. Hammoud received her Master’s in Healthcare and Quality Management from the Lebanese University in 2016, and her Ph.D. in Health Sciences (Summa Cum laude) from University of Pécs in Hungary in October 2022.
