Dr. Tuba Yıldız is a faculty member at the Department of the History of Islamic Sects, Faculty of Theology, Istanbul University. In 2011, she received language training at the University of Jordan. In 2012, she completed her master's degree at Istanbul University with her thesis titled "The Sunni Opposition Movement in Syria: The Muslim Brotherhood." In 2018, she earned her doctorate at the same university with her dissertation titled "The Ottoman Empire’s Sectarian Policies and Legal Practices in Mount Lebanon (1839-1914)." During her doctoral studies, she was a visiting researcher at the American University of Beirut and Columbia University. Yıldız, who is the author of the books "The Law of Tradition, the Justice of the Ottomans: The Druze and the Maronites" and "Beirut," continues her research on sectarian groups in Lebanon in the context of identity and politics.
Platform: Agenda of the Muslim World was established within the İLKE Science Culture Education Foundation as a publication organ that aims to follow and analyze the intellectual, political, social, economic and cultural agendas of Muslim societies and to present current and original perspectives on the Muslim world.
