Mehmet Rakipoğlu

He completed his undergraduate studies in International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Sakarya University, in 2016. During the 2015–2016 academic year, he studied in Szczecin, Poland, through the Erasmus program. He completed his doctoral studies in 2023 with a dissertation titled “Hedging Strategy in Foreign Policy: Post-Cold War Saudi Arabia’s Relations with the U.S., China, and Russia.”

He has published reports, analyses, and opinion pieces in various think tanks and media outlets. Since 2019, he has been serving in the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Batman University. He also serves as Academic Coordinator at the think tank Dimensions for Strategic Studies.

Rakipoğlu is the author of the books “Global Brotherhood: The Muslim Brotherhood’s Relations with Regimes and Its Transnational Nature” and “Hedging Strategy in Foreign Policy: Post-Cold War Saudi Arabia’s Relations with the U.S., China, and Russia”. He has published articles in journals such as Religions, Insight Turkey, and All Azimuth. He is proficient in Arabic and English.
