Yusuf Ziya Gökçek

He was born in Istanbul and completed his undergraduate studies at Marmara University, Faculty of Communication. He earned his master’s degree in 2011 from Beykent University, Department of Cinema and TV, with a thesis titled “Postcolonial African Cinema.” He completed his PhD in 2017 at Marmara University, Department of Cinema, with a dissertation titled “From Third Cinema to the Cinema of Fernando Solanas.” Gökçek is currently a faculty member in the Department of Radio, TV, and Cinema at Marmara University, Faculty of Communication.
