Ali İhsan Kahraman earned his bachelor’s degree through the Economics and Business Honors Program at Istanbul Bilgi University and the Economics and Management programme at the University of London, coordinated by the London School of Economics and Political Science. He completed his master’s degree in Public Policy at Sabancı University with a thesis titled “Geopolitics of Energy: The Case of Turkey – Rising to Challenges” and received his PhD in Political Science and International Relations from Istanbul University with a dissertation titled “The Belt and Road Initiative as an Element of China’s Global Politics: A Political Economy Analysis.”
He later published his doctoral dissertation as a book titled *China and the Belt and Road Initiative: A Political Economy Analysis*. His main areas of research include the Belt and Road Initiative and Eurasian political economy, as well as Islam and international relations theories. He has published in international academic journals and contributed opinion pieces to various digital media platforms, including TRT World, and think tanks. He began his academic career at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University in 2015 and currently continues his academic work in the Department of International Relations at Istanbul Medeniyet University.
