Dr. Deniz Işıker Bedir completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Psychology at Near East University with an academic achievement scholarship. She earned her Master’s degree in Cultural Studies at Istanbul Bilgi University as a TÜBİTAK scholar and completed her PhD in the Department of Social Sciences at the Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Institute of Forensic Sciences and Legal Medicine, also as a TÜBİTAK scholar.

Having begun her academic journey in 2011 as a research assistant in the Department of Psychology at Mardin Artuklu University, she has continued her career there as a faculty member since 2020. Her research focuses on fields such as gerontology (aging), elder abuse, forensic psychology, and trauma.
