Home Author

He completed his PhD in the Department of International Relations at Istanbul Medeniyet University. He serves as the Coordinator of North and East Africa Studies at ORSAM. He has conducted fieldwork in North and East African countries. His research interests include the role of global and regional actors in Africa, as well as developments in security, migration, and terrorism, with a particular focus on Africa in Turkish foreign policy, the Horn of Africa, the Red Sea, and the Sahel. His articles and book chapters have been published in peer-reviewed journals, and his analyses and commentary have appeared in the media and numerous international publications. Additionally, Devecioğlu is the author of the book titled "US-China Competition in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait
