Mohamad Fawaz is a researcher in international relations specializing in the Levant, conflict dynamics, and the geopolitics of Middle East. He writes in both English and Arabic for several research institutions, including the Carnegie Middle East Center and Ru’ya magazine published by the SETA Foundation. He is a researcher at Al-Sharq Strategic and serves as the editorial and research producer of the Al-Sharq Podcast. Fawaz is also a senior researcher at the Recode Research Center, contributing to policy analysis, political consultancy, and strategic assessments related to Lebanon, Syria, and broader regional shifts. Fawaz holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the Lebanese American University.
