He was born in Bingöl in 1983. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of International Relations at Bilkent University and earned his Master's degree in Middle East Studies from Middle East Technical University (METU). He obtained his PhD from the Department of International Relations at Ankara University. He is fluent in English and Persian and has an intermediate command of Arabic. His articles and writings have been published in various newspapers and journals.
