Murat Yiğit

Graduated from the Department of French Translation and Interpreting at Istanbul University Faculty of Letters. Completed a master's degree at the Institute of International Relations, University of Strasbourg (Université de Strasbourg – ITIRI). In 2020, earned a Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences with a dissertation titled "Military Coup as an Instrument of Foreign Intervention: The Case of West African Countries." In 2024, was awarded the title of Associate Professor in "Area Studies" following the dossier evaluation by the Interuniversity Council (ÜAK). Currently serves as the Head of the Department of Strategy and Security at the Air War Institute of the National Defense University and as the Director of the Center for African Studies.
