He is currently working as a research assistant at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Pakistan. In addition, he teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses in economics at IBA. He has also worked as a researcher at IBA on the project “Post-2014 and NATO Afghanistan-Pakistan Scenario,” supported by the United States Institute of Peace. He graduated with high honors in finance in 2010. He has taught finance at both undergraduate and graduate levels in some of Pakistan’s leading universities, including IBA and Szabist. In his professional career, he has worked at Meezan Bank, BMC Pakistan (Reuters’ partner in Pakistan), and the American Bankers Academy. Furthermore, Shaikh has also served at ABN AMRO and Citibank.
