Taher Labadi is a researcher at Institut français du Proche-Orient (Ifpo) in Jerusalem. His current work focuses on industrial free zones, which he studies as laboratories of economic liberalization and integration into globalization in Palestine and the Middle East. More generally, his research questions the economic discourses, knowledge, and practices in this region, which is plagued by (neo)colonialism, wars, and revolts.
