Dr. Hamdullah Baycar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations at Karadeniz Technical University. He completed his undergraduate studies at Abant Izzet Baysal University, earned his master's degree from the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, and received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter. His research focuses on Gulf politics, nationalism, identity politics, citizenship, and state-society relations. He serves as the Book Review Editor for *Insight Turkey* and is the co-editor of the *Palestine Yearbook*. Additionally, he was named to the "40 Under 40" list published by the Middle East Policy Council in 2023.
