Rahmat Ullah graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Jahangirnagar University in Bangladesh in 2009. He completed his Master’s degree at the same university in 2011 and earned his PhD in International Relations from Karadeniz Technical University.

He began his academic career in 2021 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul Gelişim University. Specializing in the politics of Bangladesh and South Asia, his research interests include migration, politics, international conflict, foreign policy, and soft power. Additionally, Türkiye–South Asia relations remain one of his primary areas of research interest.
