Dr. Rumeysa Köktaş is a research assistant at the Middle East Institute of Sakarya University. She completed her PhD with a study focusing on postcolonial theory and modernization processes through the case of Tunisia.

Her research interests include Tunisian society and politics, postcolonial theory, and debates on modernization in the Middle East. She has published articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals in these fields.
