Dr. Zahid Shahab Ahmed serves as a Professor of Security Studies at the National Defence College (NDC) of the United Arab Emirates, having previously held teaching and research positions at universities in Australia and Pakistan, including Deakin, UNE, and NUST. Holding a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of New England, Australia, Dr. Ahmed combines his academic career with practical experience gained through peacebuilding and countering violent extremism projects with international organizations such as UNESCO, USAID, and Hedayah.
